Acceptable Use and Takedown Policy

1. Purpose

This policy describes what is not allowed on sites hosted by SiteBee and how anyone can ask us to remove a preview or content. It is part of our Terms of Service.

2. Not allowed

• Claiming or editing a site for a business you do not own or represent, or impersonating any person or business.
• Illegal content or activity, or promoting illegal goods or services.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
• False or misleading claims about licenses, certifications, prices, warranties or reviews, or fake reviews and testimonials.
• Malware, phishing, or collecting payment card or login details outside our approved tools.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexually explicit material, or content that exploits minors.
• Spam, including using a contact form or our Service to send unsolicited bulk messages.
• Trying to break, overload, scan or get around the security of the Service.

3. Your responsibility for claims

Customers are responsible for making sure everything on their site is accurate, including services offered, service areas, hours, licenses and pricing. Our starter text is general; edit it so it matches your business.

4. Removing a preview

Previews are private, are not listed in search engines, and expire on their own after 14 days. If you are the business, or anyone who received a preview link, and want it gone sooner, use the link in the preview footer, sitebee.co/takedown, or email hello@sitebee.co. Previews reported with their link are disabled immediately and their content is deleted. We also add your email to our do-not-contact list.

5. Reporting a live site

To report a live site that breaks this policy, misrepresents your business, or uses your content, use sitebee.co/takedown or email hello@sitebee.co with the site address, what is wrong, and how to reach you. We aim to review reports within 1 business day and may disable content while we look into it.

6. Copyright notices

If you believe content on a site we host infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent with: your physical or electronic signature; the work you believe is infringed; the address of the page with the material; your contact information; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner. Customers may send a counter-notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. 512(g). We close the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.

7. Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend a site, or close an account that breaks this policy. Where practical and lawful we will tell the customer what was removed and why, and give a chance to fix it.
